150 pinata

The kids and I had a lot of fun making a homemade pinata. We had to start twice because the first one didn't really work out. oh well...

We decided to really go all out on the decorations. This was Camille's favorite part. Ever the Artist!

Then we filled it with 150 pieces of candy.
150 Pinata!

When Deej and his family were here for a visit, Sarah's family and my parents all came over for dinner and a nice Pinata Pop!

And with that- our 150 YEAR CELEBRATION came to a conclusion!

150 Boutique

The kids worked really hard putting together small gifts that they made themselves to sell at a boutique and then donate the proceeds to the Utah refugees.
$150 Donation!

Crayons

Stress Balls/Bags

Book Marks

Sugar Scrub Soap

We had a lot of fun and saw a lot of their friends come to support them. We had a goal of making $150 to donate to the Utah Refugee Connection, but only made about $100. (The sugar scrub didn't sell and we were really counting on that). We still counted it as a success.

150 Braids and Provo Freedom Run

In preparation for the Provo Freedom Run, the girls braided their hair.
You guessed it-
150 braids! between us all.

The Fourth of July, we usually watch the hot air balloons inflate in provo and then hike up Y mountain and watch the balloons from there.

This year, Sydney, Parker and I ran the 5K Freem Run. It was a lot of fun and we got festive leggings to boot.

The rest of the family hiked the Y and then met us after the race. Then we went for breakfast at Kneaders.

Showing off our braids!!!

150 marshmallows

We love including other family members with us in our 150 celebration.
150 Marshmallows!

We counted out 150 marshmallows and then divided them amongst us.
And then...
We shoved them in our mouths.

Idaho on the way home

On the way home, we stopped in Idaho Falls.
Our hotel was pretty cool.

From the window, you could see the river. And you can also see our family eating dinner at the picnic in the bottom right corner.

We walked along the riverfront, in the wind, and looked at the temple.

From our hotel window

The next morning we had a campus tour at BYU-Idaho. It was so fun to be back on campus again, where Sterling and I were both students. There is a special spirit on that campus. It is unique.

We also handed out 150 Pieces of Candy!
Its harder than it sounds.

There were a surprising number of students who said "no" to our offer. But eventually, we overcame our shyness and handed out all 150 pieces.

Out tour guide! from South Africa.

We were really excited to get home and see our baby bunnies who were much bigger after our week away.

Montana Day 2

Day 2 we took a break from the rain in Glacier National Park. Instead, we went on a Farm Bureau field trip to a beautiful Lavendar Farm.
It always amazes me how much a farmer knows about their product. But more importantly, how much they care. It was almost as if this farmer considered her plants as her children. She loved and cared for them. She knew when their "birthdays" were and when they were sick and how to help them. Its such a beautiful thing.

We made our own lavender sachets. And finished off the visit with lavender lemonade and lavedar cookies. So delicious!

Later that day, we stacked 150 coins! to continue with our 150 celebration.

Another funny thing was trying to drive off in the car with the back hatch still open. When I put the car in reverse, we saw this picture. It looks like we are going to drive off into the sky.
