Nope, we don't

Recent phone-call:

Lady: I'm calling to confirm your order to discontinue your Comcast cable service.

Me: Yes, that's correct.

Lady: Is there a reason you cancelled, such as price or quality of service, that we could help you with. We have a lot of nice promotions right now, if that helps.

Me: No thank you. We just decided to make a life-style change.

Lady: Ya know, a lot of people enjoy having some of the music from the music channels in their home or being able to watch the news. Would you like any of that in your home?

Me: Nope, we don't. But thank you for the call and please cancel our service.

Inspiring Olympics

I thoroughly enjoyed the Olympics this year. Something about pushing for your very best, and not just achieving but breaking world records. Its so inspiring and motivating. In fact, I've been so inspired, I've been riding my bike with my 2 youngest loaded in the trailer behind me to accompany Parker to kindergarten. (Of course, by the time I get back to the bottom of my cul-de-sac, I have to get off the bike and walk it up to my house, and I can barely walk because my legs are jello. Darn Saratoga wind!!! hahaha). Anyway, back to the Olympics. I got all teary eyed during the montage thingy after Bob Costas (is that his name?) signed off. I am so proud of our U.S. athletes and all they accomplished. It was amazing to see all the highlights pulled together in that montage. Our family had just a wonderful wonderful time enjoying and being inspired by the Olympics.

BUT - if you REALLY want to be inspired, watch this "gymnast." (Paula/Paul Hunt) I heard he's from Utah. Can anyone confirm this?

He also has a great floor and balance beam routine! Click here to see them on youtube.

Mixed Feelings

So, I changed my vote (I didn't really vote, just changing my mind really) at the last minute for the American Idol. I just really didn't enjoy the results show, at all. Probably for many reasons.

(time passing here)

OK, so I just wrote a list of 4 or 5 things that I was unimpressed with or maybe my soul was impressed with other ideas while I was watching but I'm not printing them. Suffice it to say, I was just not impressed.

What I'm really trying to say is, I'm glad David Archeleta lost and David Cook won. I'm glad Archeleta will have a little more control over his future now and I really really like David Cook as American Idol. I think he fits it and it seems like he's a really nice guy. Simon Cowell seems to think so anyway.

But there was this really cute, funny picture in the Deseret News this morning. I love the look of the guys in the background. YAY FOR DAVID COOK!!

Guess what I'm doing tonight?

Go David!!! (either one)

Get a Life!

Yeah, I know. I should get a life. But I am just really enjoying this year's American Idol. Honest and truly, I just started watching last week. REALLY! (The Mariah Carey week. I'm not so much a fan of her. More her music than her, anyway... I'm off topic.) Our Utah favorite, David Archuletta, is just so cute!!! But then David Cook, don't know (or really care) much about him, has a great edgy, rock style that I like.

So I'm rambling...but I can't decide. David or David? Angelic or edgy? Get a life or watch American Idol reruns on youtube? The problem is, its gray, windy and cold outside, so........
