Revival Recital 2018 - 7th annual

7th Annual Revival Recital

This recital was so amazing because we had several new performers- ladies who were participating for the very first time!

I shared these quotes from Brene Brown at the beginning.

I really do think that we are brave,

reviving

renewing

learning for the first time

and then putting it out there

being vulnerable

for others to see

I always like to do an opening number that is fun and a little bit of a surprise. I performed "This Is The Greatest Show" and not only did I play it, I played it in costume.

And I totally messed up and made some funny faces. But I don't have a problem with that.

Piano Recital

I enjoy teaching piano to my 7 students, plus 3 of my own kids. It makes for a short but sweet recital.

No video this year but here are some pictures of my kids. Each student performed a solo and a duet, with a family member when possible!

The Fourth Annual Revival Recital. I don't know why I'm always so hesitant to blog about these recitals. I shouldn't be, but its a mix of trying not to brag and also being a little embarrassed of putting myself (ourselves) out there. So usually its just pictures and any video stays on my hard drive. This time, I'm putting it out there. I have added video.

This group of women is amazing. Every year there are a few new faces. I love it. And next year. Well, next year is FIVE YEARS! We will celebrate!

And here we go, another Revival Recital. Awesome as always. Awesome because the women who participate are amazing, talented, determined women. All of whom I love.

But of course, no video. I really should do better at this. It just feels a little bit like bragging because we are all so awesome!

Revival Recital 2013

Oh dear. Let me apologize. Call me a time traveler, but I am actually writing this post in 2015. I can't remember what I performed. I think I actually began this recital with a recorder number. You know, the ones you learn to play in 5th grade?

But I couldn't rest tonight if I didn't post a picture of this fantastic group of talented women.

On Being a Mom

"We all know that the early years of our children's lives are precious. It is when they are most teachable, impressionable and open to true and erroneous teaching. Our society in a rush to success encourages us as mothers to send our children from the home earlier and earlier, to involve them in more and more activities. Too often we forget that the most impotant preparation for success is in the home under the nurturing care of the mother.
