150 pinata

The kids and I had a lot of fun making a homemade pinata. We had to start twice because the first one didn't really work out. oh well...

We decided to really go all out on the decorations. This was Camille's favorite part. Ever the Artist!

Then we filled it with 150 pieces of candy.
150 Pinata!

When Deej and his family were here for a visit, Sarah's family and my parents all came over for dinner and a nice Pinata Pop!

And with that- our 150 YEAR CELEBRATION came to a conclusion!

150 marshmallows

We love including other family members with us in our 150 celebration.
150 Marshmallows!

We counted out 150 marshmallows and then divided them amongst us.
And then...
We shoved them in our mouths.

Halloween Day

The night before Halloween, I had my usual encounter with the goblins fighting ogres (or ogres fighting goblins, I can never remember which is friend or foe.)
So I served the ogres up for breakfast.

Tongue

Eyeballs

And congealed blood to drink.

Shortly after breakfast was the elementary school parade.

The after school snack was homemade donuts. Yum!

We had the Jolley boys over for dinner and trick or treating. We sure love those Jolley boys and jump at the chance to spend time with them.

This is what 7 kids at dinner time looks like. I can't believe my mom did this EVERY DAY!!!! (Milo is not pictured but believe me, he's there!)

Oreo Pudding Graveyard dessert!

Then we were off trick or treating. Parker as the Ranger from the Ranger Apprentice books. I got a sewing bug this year and made his shirt and cape.

Camille as Little Red Riding Hood. I made her costume. It turned out perfect. Camille was one happy girl.

Rachel, the Hawaiian girl!

Bryce, the Ninja

Sydney with our Jolley Super-Heroes!
Cooper - Ironman and Milo- Captain America

We were all a little confused when Milo dropped to all fours and started crawling backwards. Then it dawned on me, the yard was very steep and he was just being careful not to fall by crawling. So cute!

We had so much fun trick-or-treating with the Jolley boys.

Milo and I headed home early and helped hand out candy, all the while eating our own candy. A permanent sucker in the hand.

When Cooper got back he got a great thrill out of handing out candy to the last teenage stragglers.

By the time the night was over, we all fell into bed and went straight to sleep. Another Happy Halloween in the books.

Cousins

On a whim, we decided to meet with cousins at Grandma's house. From there we walked to a nearby park and played the afternoon away!

These two boys have forged quite the bond. Its adorable, actually. I hope it lasts for years to come.

And what's a stop at Grandma's without getting a Rainbow at Pace's. Getting a good picture of the kids is a little more difficult.

A few short days later we met again at Grandma's for a Halloween party. There was no shortage of hula-baloo with the cousins.

This guy. And this smile. Oh, it just melts my heart!

Syd and Cooper. Little buds. She loves hugging and loving on this little one.

And here is Cooper ready to show off his throwing skills. Maybe he's saying a little prayer first. :)

He knocked two cans down. Way to go, Cooper!

And what's a party at the Dewey house without Ice Cream!!! Looks like Megan and Cooper have their hands full.
