Sara's visit

My brother, Deej, wasn't our only visitor from Texas. My best friend growing up, Sara, came to visit from Houston. Every summer, Sara comes to Utah with her kids to visit family. And I'm lucky enough to be on her list of people to visit. I am so grateful for that. I'm a better person when she's around. Oh, and also slightly crazy.

So apparently we like taking visitors from Texas to the Great Salt Lake because that's where we went with Sara.

The kids had a lot of fun together -

- but apparently Sydney likes to sit alone in the sand. Just kidding. They ALL had a lot of fun together.

We also got together with the girls we grew up with. There is something unique and special about being back together with the girls who influenced so much of the growing up years. It was fun to reconnect and catch up on each others lives. What a great group of women.

Oh, how I love Sara and her darling kids.
Funny story: throughout the visit, Sara and I would say the same thing at the same time and the kids would just roll their eyes at us. At the Great Salt Lake, we both brought Cheez-its, grapes and nearly brought the exact same lunch. We brought water bottles into the lake to rinse salt out of eyes and such. I didn't know where to put my bottle so I stuck it in my swimsuit. I looked over at Sara and she had done the same thing. I'll tell ya, something weird is going on with us and always has. Two peas in a pod.
